Aled is Chief Commercial Officer at Knowa, a software company helping to enhance a board’s productivity, governance and trustee engagement. He is a qualified actuary and was previously a Director in the pensions team at KPMG.
Chris joined BESTrustees in April 2021 and is now a trustee on a range of schemes ranging in assets under management from c£10m to c£1.4bn. Prior to that he held a series of senior management roles for occupational schemes during a 39 year career. His most recent role before joining BESTrustees was as head of pensions & benefits for Heathrow Airport, which included management of the legacy British Airport Authority legacy pension arrangements.
He is a fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and holds several appointments for the institute, including non-executive board director, an elected member of the body’s advisory council. Chris is also chair of the PMI’s Trustee Group Forum and a trustee director of its pension scheme. He has also been a member of the advisory council of AIMSE Europe since 2007.
Ian has over 30 years’ pension experience, covering the management and administration of DB & DC schemes, and has been CEO at the independent consultancy, Muse Advisory, since 2019. He advises Trustees and Companies on a wide range of strategic, operational, governance and selection projects.
Kevin is an independent pensions consultant and a past-president of both the Pensions Management Institute and the Society of Pension Professionals. He is the author of Spotlight on Pensions: A Guide to Pensions Practice, published by Pendragon. He was previously a principal and head of pensions policy at Buck.
Kiran is senior pensions & benefits manager at Sky responsible for managing more than £1 bn in pension assets and shaping outcomes for c.50,000 people. He is a well-known voice in UK pensions with 20 years' industry experience across a number of large high profile multinational employers and pension funds. Kiran has also been involved with influencing government policy on pensions. Kiran has a passion for helping others and improving every aspect of the pensions and benefits landscape in the UK and across Europe. Kiran holds a Diploma in Retirement Provision and is a Member of the Pensions Management Institute.
Lesley joined KGC in 2012. Previously, Lesley gained significant insight into the market from a provider view in the areas of pensions systems, employee benefit services and investment management. This holistic understanding covers both trust and contract-based arrangements. She has a deep knowledge in the construction of products and services offerings within the industry.
Lesley is the immediate past-president of the Pensions Management Institute and the current chair of the PASA DC Governance Working Group. She holds a masters in economic and social history and is also a chartered marketeer. When not working Lesley likes to spend time with her two dogs and developing her baking skills, although says bread still remains a challenge.
Paul is the Chief Officer of Railpen’s Benefits business unit, where he is responsible for pensions administration, digital engagement, member communication and technical functions.
Paul has over 40 years of experience in the pension industry and is also on the board of PASA, the Pensions Administration Standards Association.
